If you’ve come to this post without much of an idea of what chiropractic is, don’t worry!
Chiropractic care consists of optimising your nervous system by correcting the subluxated segments (misaligned vertebrae that create interference) of your spine. With chiropractic adjustments, your body’s ability to heal and adapt is restored so that you can enjoy a higher quality of life with physical and emotional well-being.
The holistic nature of chiropractic adjustments also has a positive impact on boosting your mental performance, as well as helping you to better manage daily stress and enjoy greater wellbeing in most areas of your life. If you want to find out more about all the benefits for optimising cognitive functions, don’t miss this post 😉
And if you’re asking yourself… “But do I need chiropractic care?”, the answer is: YES. No matter where you are in your life, everyone (children, adults…) can benefit from chiropractic adjustments and their improvements to your health and well-being.
Moreover, at Momentum Quiropràctic we always like to remember our Smart Empowerment philosophy: start with chiropractic in a preventive way to optimise your full potential and empower you.
Health insurance providers and Chiropractic Care
As we mentioned at the beginning of this post, chiropractic is a health practice that is little recognised in Spain, despite the fact that countries such as Switzerland, Denmark, Finland and Norway, among others, include chiropractic care as part of public health care.
Scientific evidence supports the great positive impact of chiropractic on the wellbeing and development of the country and its inhabitants. For example, the study carried out by Sarnat et al. (2007) showed that chiropractic care considerably reduces the number of hospitalisations and their duration, as well as the number of outpatient surgeries and the cost of taking medication. In addition, it also plays an important role in the promotion of well-being at work for companies thanks to its potential, as we explained in this post.
That is why it is increasingly common to find insurers that offer health insurance where chiropractic is covered as a care plan for individuals and work teams.
Therefore, if you have health insurance for your family, your company offers private insurance or you have an international insurance coverage, you should check if it includes chiropractic care. The following is our experience as a chiropractic centre that includes our chiropractic care service for patients with private insurance.
